My work explores the relationship between perception vs what is true to us. With my greatest influences being the likes of Basquiat and Condo in terms of content, I also have a fascination with the atelier movement and seek to find an unhealthy balance.
Growing up in NYC to a single immigrant mother, I have long been fascinated by how people perceived those who were different at first glance. Color, race, gender, socioeconomic level, these were all things that formed my way of seeing.
